Abstract

969,809. Securing nuts to work. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. March 28, 1963 [June 20, 1962], No. 23801/62. Heading F2H. [Also in Division E2] A nut, Fig. 2 (not shown), with a flange, preferably rectangular, at one end of a threaded barrel, is anchored at the edge of a panel by the clip shown, fitted over the panel edge with resilient limbs 1, 2 on either side of the panel so that an aperture 5 in the limb 2 is aligned with a bolt hole in the panel. The base of the barrel of the nut is gripped frictionally by arcuate recesses 4a, 4b formed at either side of a slot 4 which divides the limb 1 and the flange of the nut is held under the limb 1 against the panel. A shoulder 6 on the limb 1 abuts an edge of the nut flange to prevent the nut turning.
