969,734. Ear plugs. C. G. HOFFMAN. May 7, 1963, No. 18040/63. Heading A5R. A method of making a hearing aid ear plug comprises packing cotton wool into the auditory canal of the patient, moulding self-hardening synthetic resin in the remainder of the canal and the concha, removing the plug so formed from the ear when hardened and forming a hole through the portion 22 of the plug which fits the auditory canal. The plug is moulded from acrylic resin and has portions 19, 21 which fit the helix and trapus of the ear respectively. A hearing aid receiver ring is embedded in the plug as it hardens.
