Abstract

965,583. Reflex reflectors. F. GREENHALGH, and J. R. FISH. March 6, 1963 [March 24, 1962], No. 11354/62. Heading EIG. A reflex reflector for roadways or like surfaces comprises a casing A formed integrally with a mushroom head a as shown (Figs. 1 and 2) to provide a flange a<SP>6</SP> to engage a roadway or like surface and a central bore to receive a reflector B passing through the mushroom head a and normally projecting therefrom having a flange b to engage a shoulder a<SP>5</SP> or circlip in the casing A against which the reflector B is held by a rubber or like resilient cushion C or a spring. The body of the casing A is closed at the other end by a base a<SP>3</SP> secured thereto and is reinforced by ribs a<SP>2</SP>. In a modification using a circlip the body has a pointed leg or spindle at the other end, the circlip being received in a groove and engaged by the upper surface of the flange b.
