Abstract

963,825. Fuse contacts. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Dec. 11, 1962 [Dec. 14, 1961], No. 44852/61. Headings H2B and H2G. Each U-shaped contact member 6 of a fuse-holder is secured in the insulating holder body 1 by a rectangular resilient strip 13 passing through slits 15, 16 in the contact limbs 10, 11, of member 6 and engaging the sides of recesses in the body 1 and bowing such that the strip resists attempts to remove the contact member from the body. Prongs 17 of the strip 13 dig into the corners of rectangular channels 14 of the body 1 as removal of the contact member 6 is attempted. Each contact member 6 is formed from a pressing of resilient metal strip and has projections on the limbs 10, 11, by which it is located in the body 1 and also clips, for holding a cartridge fuse, are formed integrally with the contact member, (Figs. 1, 2 and 4, not shown).
