Abstract

963,298. Bottle closures. G. ANTONACCI. Dec. 21, 1962 [Feb. 1, 1962], No. 3868/62. Heading B8T. A plastics bottle closure comprises a screwon cap 10 and a closure cap 11; the cap 10 includes an integrally moulded part 13 of truncate conical shape and a pouring outlet 15. The closure cap 11 snaps over the projecting portion of the part 13 and a projection 17 depending from the closure cap engages and seals the pouring outlet 15, knurled parts of the outlet 15 and the projection 17 prevent relative turning of the two caps. The diameter of the part 13 just below the flat surface 14 is slightly larger than that of the neck 12, thus giving a liquid-tight seal when the cap 10 is screwed tightly on to the bottle. A laterally projecting part 20 is provided to facilitate removal of the closure cap.
