Abstract
962,354. Stacking-boxes. BERGLOFS VERKSTADER A.B. Jan. 1, 1962 [Dec. 31, 1960], No. 59/62. Heading B8P. A packing-box comprises two parts 1, 2 which are substantially the same size and shape, the lower part, 1, having an outward depression 3 in the base and the upper part 2 being apertured at 5 with an outwardly bent rib 6 around the perimeter of said aperture. The walls of the part 1 have a flange 4 and the part 2 has a flange 7 which co-operate as in Fig. 1 to form a box which may be locked by a yoke 9. In a modification the yoke may form part of a handle member. On stacking the boxes as in Fig. 1, depression 3 of the upper box locates around rib 6 in the upper part of a lower box. Empty parts 1, 2 may be nested one inside the other for transport. Drainage holes 8 are provided and the box may be made of sheet aluminium or of an aluminium alloy. Intermediate parts may be placed between the parts 1, 2.
