Abstract
961,177. Photographic diffusion-transfer procedures. GEVAERT PHOTO-PRODUCTEN N. V. Sept. 23, 1960 [Sept. 24, 1959], No. 32862/60. Heading G2C. A print or receiving material, a number of which may be used for making successive copies from the same exposed silver halide emulsion layer, comprises a layer containing nuclei or nuclei-forming substance and at least one watersoluble basic polymer of classes (i) polyvinyl amines (ii) polyalkylene imines or substituted derivatives of either of these. In Example 1 paper is coated with a suspension containing gelatin, colloidal cobalt sulphide, hypo, polyvinylamine hydrochloride and phenylwercaptotetrazole and overcoated with carboxymethylcellulose to form the receiving material, and up to 10 sharp prints may be made by pressing such on to an exposed negative material comprising a chloride emulsion containing urea as softener and rice starch, and which also is overcoated with carboxymethylcellulose, in the presence of a specified pyrazolidone type developer. Examples 3, 4 refer to Examples 1 and present slight variations thereof, and Examples 2, 5 specify polyethylene-imine hydrochloride mixings using colloidal silver and zinc sulphides respectively as nuclei for receiving layers.
