Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of general formula: <FORM:0956850/C2/1> wherein R represents hydrogen, an alkyl or alkoxy radical having at most four carbon atoms or a halogen atom, and n is 0-4; and their salts with bases; and their preparation by hydrogenolysing a compound of formula: <FORM:0956850/C2/2> wherein R1 represents an aralkyl radical. Ethers of formula II can be prepared by condensation of substituted malonic acids and their ester and halide derivatives with hydrazobenzenes of formula: <FORM:0956850/C2/3> or by introduction of the 4-substituent. Pharmaceutical preparations containing the compounds I and salts are described, particularly forms for oral (capsules, powders, tablets), parenteral (solutions) and rectal (suppositories) administration. The compounds have antiphlogistic, analgesic and antipyretic activity.
