Abstract

952,710. Surgical dressings. SCHOLL MFG. CO. Ltd. Sept. 12, 1962 [Sept. 22, 1961], No. 34870/62. Heading A5R. A digit protector comprises an elongated preformed cup-shaped member 2 of soft resilient organic resinous polymer foamed material and a smooth thin film sheath 5 covering the member. The cup-shaped member 2 of foamed polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane or isocyanate has an outer sheath 5 of vinyl or acetate film. The sheath and cup-shaped member may be heatsealed together at their open ends. The sheath may be made from two superimposed quadrilateral sheets heat-sealed together along three sides and perforated.
