Abstract

952,694. Transformers. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. April 12, 1962 [April 12, 1961], No. 14249/62. Heading H1T. A magnetic core is made from cold rolled steel laminations and has at least one pair of compensating windings extending in a transverse plane across one leg of the core, the two windings being connected in opposition and being wound round different parts of the leg cross-section possibly in a figure-of-eight configuration (Fig. 1) in which winding 3 passes through hole 2 in the core leg. The pair of windings, Fig. 2, is formed from two conducting strips 4, 5 extending round the core 1 and inter-connected by hollow bolt 6 and insulated central conductor 7. A reduction in core losses is claimed.
