Abstract

951,146. Valve and transistor multivibrator circuits. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Aug. 21, 1961 [Aug. 22, 1960], No. 30086/61. Headings H3P and H3T. A multivibrator having two cross-coupled switching elements is characterized in that a capacitor C1 is connected between the control electrodes of the two valves or transistors to prevent operation of the circuit by interference pulses of low power and random or alternating polarity. As described, Fig. 1, a bi-stable multivibrator comprises a pair of transistors with the capacitor C1 connected between the bases, the size of the capacitor being such that the time constant formed by it and the associated resistors is small compared with the duration of control pulses. Figs. 2, 3 (not shown) disclose an astable and a mono-stable circuit respectively. Valves may be used instead of transistors, with the capacitor C1 connected between control grids.
