945,027. Knitting-machines. AGULA S. A. June 20, 1962 [June 22, 1961], No. 23793/62. Heading D1C. A latch needle 1, for circular knitting machine in which the needle grooves are provided between radial lamellae extending from the circumference so that the grooves widen slightly radially outwardly of the cylinder, has provided on the flat portion 4 joining the needle butt 3 to the needle shank with a row of embossings 5-10 some of which protrude on one face while the others protrude by the same amount on the other face of the said flat portion. The row of embossings is provided near the edge of the portion 4 which corresponds to the outer edge of the lamellae and reduces the rocking of the needle in its groove.
