943,730. Batch mixers. UNITED STATES STONEWARECO. Aug. 3, 1962, No. 29978/62. Heading B1C. A batch mixer has a container 20 in the form of a cylinder or other hollow body flattened at the ends so that their width exceeds that of the container, and having end caps 25 with outlets as at 36. There may be a rotatable vaned agitator 53 mounted on a shaft coaxial with one of the container trunnions. A charging and discharging conduit 52 may pass through the other trunnion. The container may be rotated continuously end over end or oscillated. 'The flattened ends are preferably at right angles to one another.
