Abstract
942,670. Dynamo-electric machines. SOC. D'ELECTRONIQUE ET D'AUTOMATISME. May 24, 1960 [May 25, 1959 (2)], No. 18319/60. Heading H2A. In an electrical rotating machine armature 30 comprising a thin insulating sheet 31 coated on both its surfaces with conductive patterns forming an electrical winding, and an insulating disc 31a disposed against the pattern on one surface, the sheet and disc are mounted in relatively displaceable relation to allow thermal expansion of the sheet in its plane with respect to the disc. As shown in Fig. 1, the sheet and disc are secured to a rotor shaft 11 by a threaded nut 14c and clamp ring 14b of a hub 14, but otherwise are free to expand, and the disc may be of reduced diameter equal to the outer diameter of the ring of permanent magnet pole shoes 15a, 18a, &c. If of equal diameter the disc and sheet may be clamped together such as to prevent lateral movement but permit relative radial movement by copper tabs 70, Fig. 5b, or a resilient ring 90, Fig. 6. The machine otherwise is similar to that described in Specification 935,652. Specifications 874,394 and 902,295 also are referred to.
