Abstract

A composition in the dry state and suitable in aqueous solution for sanitizing babies' napkins by soaking comprises a chloro-isocyanurate, e.g. potassium dichloroisocyanurate and/or trichloroisocyanuric acid in an amount of approximately 5%, a water-soluble alkali metal polyphosphate selected from sodium tripolyphosphate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate and sodium hexametaphosphate in an amount not less than 5%, a wetting agent, e.g. an alkyl aryl sulphonate, and a carrier, e.g. sodium sulphate. The composition may contain an alkali, e.g. sodium carbonate, a perfume, e.g. terpinolene and an optical dye.
