A window hinged vertically and horizontally comprises an auxiliary frame 4 hinged at 3 to a supporting frame 2, and a horizontally pivoted double glazed sash consisting of two parts 7, 10 hinged together vertically. The sash 7, 10 pivots and slides in slotted fitments 5 on the auxiliary frame 4 and is locked to the frame by horizontal rods 12 moved into slots 11 a by a lever 12a. The auxiliary frame 4 is locked to the supporting frame 2 by screws 13.
