Abstract

939,411. Louvre windows. R. HEALEY. July 28, 1961 [April 29, 1960], No. 15049/60. Class 20 (3). In a louvre window the extreme upper and lower edges of the pivoted overlapping louvre panels 2, 3 engage stepped faces 8, 9 of the main frame and the sides of the louvre frames 2 are provided with angle-section members 12, 13, 16, 17 to engage with stepped faces 10, 11, 14, 15 on the sides of the main frame to keep out draughts. Belts 20 secured to drums 18, 19 on the pivots 6, 7 at points 21, 22, Fig. 3, enable the louvres to be rotatably adjusted by a hand lever 23 secured to one louvre frame 3. The louvres are locked in the closed position by a lever-operated cam 27, Fig. 2, pivoted on the main frame and engaging with an abutment 25 on one of the drums, viz. 19.
