Abstract

937,350. Matress handles. PITATONE ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Aug. 17, 1962 [Sept. 29, 1961], No. 35102/61. Class 52 (4). A mattress handle 2 includes an elongated hand hold member 6 which is fastened at each end 3 to a mattress cover 1 by means of a plug 5, extending through an opening 4 in the end portion 3 and through a hole in the mattress cover 1, and a retaining clip 15 which is sprung on to the inwardly projecting end 9 of the plug 5. The plug 5, which may be of polystyrene, is provided with ventilator holes 11 and a flange 12 having ribs 13. The clip 15 comprises an annular metal disc having inwardly directed, inclined radial teeth 16. The hand hold member 6 may be moulded from polyethylene.
