Abstract

935,335. Endless conveyers. SJOSTROM AUTOMATIONS Inc. Aug. 28, 1961, No. 30982/61. Class 78 (1). An endless conveyer belt is formed of interengaging metal slats 1 each of which comprises sections 3, 4 having arcuate sections 6, 5. The interlocking sections 5, 6 are so formed that, as shown in Fig. 3 a space 9 is formed, and since the sections 6 are not continuous, as shown in Fig. 1, loose material such as lint fibres will not work down between the slats and deform them as such material may readily pass out through the apertures formed at the hinges. Barbs 12 are riveted to the belt to assist in conveying the material.
