Abstract

930,597. Spectacle frames. OCCHIALCROM G. ZANDERIGHI S.r.L. July 19, 1961 [Aug. 5, 1960], No. 26216/61. Class 97 (1). A spectacle frame comprises a hinge connecting the side arms to the frame, a bush located in, and swingable about a pin within, a cavity, the cavity being formed in the frame or in the side arms, and a resilient member located between a wall of the cavity and the bush which allows the side arms to be opened but urges them towards the closed position. As shown, a hinge 11 has on side secured to a side arm 15 and the other side is formed as a bush 10 housed in a cavity 14 in a frame 13 and swingable about a pin 12 secured in the frame. A spring 12 urges the bush to move the side arms towards the closed position. The spring may be replaced by a piece of resilient material, e.g. rubber, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown).
