858,394. Spectacle frames. MECCANOPTICA LEONARDO S.p.A. April 28, 1959 [April 30, 1958], No. 14505/59. Class 97(1) A frame for a pair of spectacles comprises side arms 1 connected to the front piece 2 through a worm 7 and worm wheel connection so that on actuation of the worm the slope of the front piece is varied about an axis X-X. The front piece may include a sleeve 6 which is rotatable about a pivot 5 on a hinge member 4, the worm wheel 8 being mounted on one end of the sleeve 6. The worm is retained in a recess in member 4 by a washer secured to the housing and an elastic washer is fitted between said first washer and the worm to urge the worm into said recess.
