924,341. Reaping machines. VEB (K) GERAWERK. Sept. 19, 1961, No. 33511/61. Class 6(3). [Also in Group XXII] A mowing beam finger is formed from a blank of sheet steel, Fig. 2, cut along the line 13 and having the shaded parts removed. The central parts 8 of the blank are bent outwardly along the lines 4 so as to lie at right angles to the parts 7 which are then abutted so that their surfaces are in contact, the edges of the cut 13 then forming the outer edges 14 of the finger. The parts 7 are deformed to provide passages 9, 10 whereby the finger is attached to the beam and a supplementary cutting plate.
