Abstract

924,012. Telescopic pit-props. W. EGGEMANN, and E. VON CAMPENHAUSEN, [trading as HERMANN SCHWARZ KOMM.- GES.]. March 17, 1960 [March 18, 1959], No. 9372/60. Class 20 (2). A telescopic pit-prop is held in its adjusted position by clamping collars 14, 24, each of which has one free tangentially disposed edge and an inner end welded to a strapping device 20, 21. The collars are tightened by transversely movable wedges 18 and 28 extending through said collars and through said member 20, said wedges each being provided with a retaining pin. Hooks 19, 29 carried by the member 20 and projecting through slots 30 in the collars serve to retain the said members in close alignment with one another.
