Abstract
918,707. Electromagnetic switches. OLYMPIA WERKE A.G. Aug. 19, 1959 [Oct. 27, 1958], No. 28385/59. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XIX] Between a calculating or like machine (see Group XIX) and signal output terminals is a multi-position switch comprising setting slides 10, Fig. 3, bearing spring contacts 37, Fig. 2a, having upper and lower buttons 37b, 37a and mounted in recesses. Fig. 2b. The lower buttons 37a make contact with denominational contact strips 39, each corresponding to one of the slides 10. A parallel plate 42 bearing like strips crossing those of plate 39 at right angles may be lowered by means of an electromagnet 47 against springs 55a, 55b, to make contact with the upper buttons 37b. When the slides 10 are positioned, the magnet 47 is energized, lowering plate 42 and making contacts between strips 39 and 42. Specification 918,706 is referred to.
