Abstract

918,669. Reciprocating pumps. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd., JOSEPH. July 27, 1961 [Aug. 11, 1960], No. 27805/60. Class 102(1). [Also in Group XXIX]. The valve plate 16 of an axial piston pump has arcuate ports 17 with which the cylinder apertures 15 communicate during rotation and which are connected to circular ports 18 on the opposite side of the plate by passages 19. Each port 18 has a sealing ring 21, loaded by a spring 22, which seals against the face 5a. The ports 18 are connected to ports 23, 24 which are appropriately connected to an inlet or an outlet.
