917,361. Storing liquefied gases. PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, N.V. Feb. 24, 1960 [Feb. 27, 1959], No. 6482/60. Class 8(2). Condensing of vapour generated during the storage of liquefied gas e.g., methane is effected by a cold-gas refrigerator 1 i,e., one operating on the reversed hot gas engine principle, as shown, the cold head of the refrigerator is located in the vapour space of the storage tank 4. In a modification the refrigerator is mounted externally of the tank and is connected to the vapour space by a combined vapour outlet and liquid return line.
