Abstract
915,914. Pit-head hoist structures; fair-leads. GUTEHOFFMUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE A.G. Sept. 14, 1960 [Sept. 17, 1959], No. 31608/60. Classes 78 (3) and 78 (5). A hoist structure for use at a pit-head comprises a substantially H-shaped support 1, 2 and two head gear pulleys 7, 8 arranged one above the other with their axes extending through the upper side members 2. The support is inclined so that the pulleys 7, 8 are displaced horizontally from one another through a distance corresponding to the distance between the cables which extend upwardly from the mine cages to the pulleys. The support is provided with vertical legs 3, 4, and with servicing platforms 11, 12, 13. Two pulley blocks 14 are supported from the platform 13 and are movable vertically to positions alongside the pulleys 7, 8. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), two identical oppositely-inclined and interconnected supports are provided and support two pairs of head-gear pulleys.
