Abstract

[Also in Group XL (b)] Low-voltage pulses are applied to a Geiger counter tube which is used in combination with a pulse-density meter, in addition to the direct current voltage determining the working point on the plateau, in order to secure an unequivocal indication of the radiation pulse densities for both low and high radiation dosages. The pulse density meter ID may be a monostable multi-vibrator. The low-voltage pulses are applied to the anode of the counter tube Z 2 over a capacitor C 2 and serve to key the counting tube out of saturation only when receiving strong irradiation. A constant voltage is applied to the counter tube by means of the capacitor C 1 and a corona stabilizer tube Z 1 .
