Abstract

Central nervous system depressant compositions in unit dosage form for oral or parenteral administration comprise from about 100 to about 1000 mg. per dosage unit of 4,6-dimethyl-3-pyridazone. Specified pharmaceutical forms are tablets, capsules, powders, suspensions and aqueous parenteral solutions. It is stated that administration of the above compound potentiates the action of co-administered barbiturates e.g. sodium prentobarbital.
