A portable container for liquids has a screw threaded neck 4 on to which may be screwed a tubular spout 7, the spout being adapted: to be mounted on spaced supports 11, 12 to act as a handle when not required for pouring. The sheet metal can 3 is provided with a closure cap 5. The support 11 carries a threaded spigot 13 on to which screws the end 8 of the spout 7 and the support 12 has an aperture 14 into which fits the other end of the spout 7.
