The invention comprises N:N1-dimethylthiuram monosulphide and the preparation thereof by reacting an N-methyl-dithiocarbamate with phosgene.ALSO:A pesticidal composition comprises a solution or suspension of N : N1-dimethyl-thiuram monosulphide in water or an organic solvent such as methylene chloride or ethylene chloride.
