Abstract

905,804. Beater mills; separating solid materials. GRETEN, E. June 12, 1961 [June 11, 1960], No. 21120/61. Classes 59 and 117. Chip material to be reduced in size is subjected to a wind-sifting treatment while falling through a chamber 5 between a feed hopper 4 and a beater mill provided with exchangeable screens 13, 14, 15 of different aperture sizes. The chamber has at one side 6 horizontal air inlet openings and at the opposite side adjustable outlet openings leading to a channel 10 provided with an adjustable control flap 19, the channel being connected to the suction intake of a fan 12. The chamber has an adjustable flap 16 leading to an outlet 17 for the removal of large chips and of foreign bodies.
