Abstract
903,373. Press-button retractive switches; switch bases. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. March 29, 1961 [May 18, 1960], No. 17486/60. Class 38 (5). A switch which can be readily attached to, and removed from, a plate or panel 16 without the use of tools, nuts or bolts, comprises a U-shaped frame 10 of resilient material carrying a springset 11 on lugs 20 and an operating button 14 pivoted on rod 22. The rod 22 is free to slide in the frame 10 at one end. The frame 10 has slots 23 therein to accommodate projections 25 on a pilot light assembly 12 which has a leaf spring 34 thereon. The button 14 has a removable light-transmitting insert 15. The panel 16 has a rectangular aperture with small projections 32 at the corners (Fig. 5) and the switch is attached by compressing the sides of the frame 10 (with button 14 removed) to allow limbs 24 to pass through panel 16 and engage over projections 32. A shoulder 30 on button 14 is then placed under the panel 16 and the other end of the button pressed until rod 22 becomes engaged in slots in the button. An arm 31 on button 14 engages the springset as shown. The width of the button 14 is such that the sides of frame 10 cannot be pressed in while the button is in position.
