Abstract

899,186. Valves. SANKEY & SONS Ltd., JOSEPH. Oct. 26, 1960 [Nov. 2, 1959], No. 37056/59. Class 135. The oil feed to a space heater is adjusted by an axially movable valve 9 opened when the end of a control lever 16 pivoted at 24 cams on a pivoted lever or blade spring 14 engaging the stem 8 of the valve, the amount of opening when the lever is in its extreme position being adjustable by axially moving the control lever, e.g. by rotating it so that it screws through the pivot up to a stop 21. The blade 14 may be a cam lever loaded by a spring to close a needle valve. Oil flows from a reservoir via lines 3, 27 to an ignition device and from line 3 to line 4 leading to the heater when the valve opens. Specification 873,446 is referred to.
