898,756. Dust bins. BOWER LANE MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Oct. 24, 1960 [Oct. 24, 1959], No. 36081/59. Class 26. [Also in Group XVII] A dust bin, bucket or like container has a bottom b attached to the body a by means of a flange b<SP>1</SP> and an external fold-over lap joint a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>2</SP>, a hoop or tube c of J section driven on to the body a over the lap joint a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>2</SP> where shown and reinforced by an inner tube d, preferably of heavier gauge metal, abutting against the flange b<SP>1</SP> at its upper extremity. The hoop c may bear against an annular bulge in the body a, or the part c<SP>1</SP> of the hoop may be rolled or swaged with the body a for securing thereto by a flat or curved union above the joint a<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>2</SP>.
