Abstract

896,215. Electric light fittings. VERITYS (MAXULME) Ltd. March 6, 1961 [March 12, 1960], No. 8799/60. Class 75(2) In a fitting for electric lamps, more particularly pendant lamps, of the type incorporating a spider forming part of a central bush to which a supporting tube is attached and which bush supports a cap covering the wiring terminals of the lamp, the cap has a bayonet-type connection with the bush. The body b of the lamp is secured by screws b<SP>1</SP> to the arms a<SP>1</SP> extending from a central bush a. The arms a<SP>1</SP> also carry a terminal fitting c to which the electric leads are attached. The bush a has diametrically opposite vertical slots a 3 from which extend lateral slots a<SP>4</SP> the ends a<SP>5</SP> of which are inclined slightly upwards. The spider formed by the arms a<SP>1</SP> is covered by a cap e having a neck e<SP>1</SP> sliding on the bush a and formed with inward protrusions e<SP>2</SP> engaging in the slots.
