Abstract

A coining press has a toggle linkage (25) for transmitting motion to a die carrier (19) from a connecting rod (24) driven by a crank (16). As the connecting rod moves in one direction, the die carrier moves in an opposite direction. The toggle linkage includes duplicate links (26, 29) at opposite sides of the crankshaft.
