A container which may be of metal or synthetic plastics material is formed of trapezium shape in plan view. A handle 5 and pouring orifice with cap 3 are shielded by spaced projections 4 on the container. The orifice may have a valve (not shown). A baffle 6 restricts the space occupied by liquid in the container.
