Abstract

890,905. Two-part couplings. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 11, 1959, No. 38245/59. Class 38 (1). A miniature contact, e.g. for use in a hearing aid, comprises a plug having an insulating body 11 carrying two resilient wire pins 13, e.g. of phosphor bronze. The ends 15 of the pins are bent and inserted in contact sleeves 17 secured in an insulating plate 19 within the casing 1 of a hearing aid. The casing 1 has a slidable cover 3 which, when closed, holds the body 11 in a recess in the casing wall, thus flexing the spring and causing the pin ends 15 to engage the sleeves 17 with slight pressure.
