Abstract
887,994. Animal holding appliances. MORRIS, L. P. Oct. 19, 1960 [Oct. 31, 1959], No. 37039/59. Class 81 (2). A sheep-handling device comprises a rigid skeleton framework A supported in a longitudinally-inclined position by wheels B at the front and a non-collapsible strut C at the rear, a sling strip D being supported between end cross-members E, H so that when an animal is supported thereon it is confined between the sides of the framework. The framework A is made of welded steel rods and is supported so that one end is higher than the other on wheels B at the lower end and by a strut C at the higher end, which is open and has handles L. The sling strip D of canvas extends from a transverse bar E at the higher end to one of two transverse bars H at the lower end. The sling strip is secured to the framework intermediate its ends. The framework is generally of U- shaped cross-section but tapers slightly towards its higher end.
