Abstract

A security closure for an existing exit door 3 or the like, comprises a security door 1 mounted by a hinge 7 adjacent on opening 2 closed by the exit door 3. A pair of spaced-apart rods 10 extend between the exit door 3 and security door 1 to operably connect the security door 1 to the exit door 3 so that as the exit door 3 is closed the security door 1 travels with it to securely close the opening 2. Each rod 10 has an inner end 11 bolted to the exit door 3 and is slidably engagable with the security door 1 at its opposite outer end 12. Preferably a roller 13 is mounted at the outer end 12 of the rod 10 for slidable engagement with an inner face 17 of the security door and a bar 14 mounted to the security door 1 for opening and closing respectively the security door 1 as the exit door 3 is opened and closed. <IMAGE>
