Abstract
875,890. Magnetic compositions. CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE. Feb. 13, 1959[ Feb. 18, 1958], No. 5113/59. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (2). A ferromagnetic ceramic material comprises 50-60 mol. per cent MnO, 3-20 mol. per cent Cr 2 O 3 and the remainder Fe 2 O 3 . The material is prepared mixing the appropriate oxides and heating in nitrogen containing 1% oxygen for four hours at between 1150‹ C. and 1250‹ C. These materials are used in devices utilizing the gyromagnetic effect and have an improved ratio of rotation of the plane of polarization of incident electromagnetic waves to the attenuation of such waves.
