874,693. Stud-and-socket fastenings; clips. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Aug. 28, 1959 [Sept. 29, 1958], No. 29519/59. Class 44. A plug button assembly for closing a cavity 4 in an article 1 comprises a retainer device 6 adapted to be secured in the cavity and a plug button 5 insertable into the cavity, the retainer device including 6 resilient fingers engageable with the plug button. As shown, in which the article 1 is an operating handle attached to a valve stem 2, by a screw 3, the screw also secures the device 6 the resilient fingers 9 of which engage a slotted tubular projection 8 on the plug button 5. The button may be made of coloured synthetic plastic material.
