874,110. Securing pulleys on shafts. EASY WASHING MACHINE CO. Ltd. Feb. 24, 1958, No. 5960/58. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXVI] One end of a shaft 16 is provided with longitudinal slots 29 and a threaded bore, a tapered screw 31 being threaded into the bore to expand the shaft outwardly to grip a pulley 32. A key may be provided between the shaft and pulley, and the shaft may have a flange 321 to retain the pulley axially.
