Abstract

873,703. Optical objectives. KODAK Ltd. Sept. 4, 1959 [Sept. 4, 1958], No. 28398/58. Class 97(1) The objective comprises front and rear simple lenses I, III and between them a movable member carrying negative lenses II which can be selectively interposed in the light path. The-lenses II are of different focal lengths and plano-concave, the rear surfaces being of such radii that the back focal length of the objective is constant for a number of object distances equal to the number of negative lenses provided. Lenses II may be moulded separately from the member carrying them or integrally therewith, as by forming indentations on one surface of a sheet of polymerised benzyl methacrylate.
