A hose clamp comprises a substantially U- shaped cursor C formed by two parallel, arcuate arms 4, 41 and a cross-arm 6, arcuate slots 5 being formed in the arcuate arms and the cross-arm having a concave outer surface; a substantially rectangular link 1 having one side 3 passing through the two arcuate slots; and an arcuate lever member pivoted intermediate its ends to the side 10 of the rectangular link, the said clamp being used in combination with a flexible strap 5 to fasten in fluid-tight relationship a resilient tubular member 11 to a rigid cylindrical member 12, by one end of the flexible strap being looped round the side 3 of the rectangular link and being clamped, by movement of the arm 8 towards the tubular member 11, between a concave surface 61 of the cursor C and an edge 71 of an arm 7.
