871,969. Presses for separating liquids from solids. STORK & CO.'s APPARATENFABRIEK N.V. GEB. July 15, 1958 [July 18, 1957], No. 22709/58. Class 46. Liquid is expressed from oleaginous seeds or the like by rotation of screw 4, after which the screw is moved to the right by admission of hydraulic fluid to the left of a piston 7 in cylinder 8, in order to effect further expression of liquid from the seeds. Rotation may or may not take place during the second stage. Thereafter the plate 6 is removed and the cake expelled by further movement of screw 4 to the right.
