Abstract

871,560. Cathode-ray tube circuits. FERNSEH G.m.b.H. March 25, 1960 [March 28, 1959], No, 10652/60. Class 40(7) [Also in Group XL(b)] The focus correction coil 1 of a television camera tube is in an oscillatory circuit which is in series with a transistor 3 fed with line synchronizing pulses H; the transistor may be replaced by a semi-conductor diode having its cathode connected to the resonant circuit. Circuit 1, 2 is arranged to resonate at line frequency and the current waveform J in the coil is as shown in Fig. 2 for vertical focus correction an approximately parabolic voltage u is taken from the vertical deflexion generator and shaped by elements 8 . . . 11 to a substantially parabolic waveform which is applied to transistor 7. The focus correction coil is disposed between the neck of the camera tube and the deflexion coils to avoid cross-talk from the line flyback into the derived picture signal.
