865,486. Lens supports. OCULUS OPTIKGERATE G.m.b.H. March 3, 1959 [March 3, 1958], No. 7430/59 Class 97(1) In or for a vertex refraction meter a lens support is arranged so that the lens is held in the vicinity of its periphery by a spring (11) loaded lens holder in such a way that the lens is perpendicular to the optical axis of the meter and is located with one of its vertexes against one end of a pin 18 secured to a glass plate or disc 17; the pin being located along said optical axis with said end coinciding with the rear focal point of a standard lens in the meter. In the embodiment shown the lens holder comprises a ring 14 slidably mounted between a threaded socket 5 forming the body of the lens support and a tubular member 10.
