[Also in Group X] A floor tread unit, also usable for shelving, pressed from a single metal panel 1 comprises mounting flanges 2, 3, perforated to co-operate with the slotted angle described in Specification 763,045 and channel form tread-bars 9 formed by flanging downwardly the parts 5 corresponding to the spaces 4. 'Pimples' 22 are pressed upwardly into the bars to improve grip and to reduce wear on the remainder of the bar surface. The members 5 may be modified as at 6 to enable the units to be nested for compact storage.
